Hello and welcome,

I'm Clare Gent - a yoga guide, a mum, an expat living here in Spain, and yes, a total nut butter addict… shhh!

For years, just like many of you, I was trapped in a relentless cycle of "never being good enough." My life was a constant push to do more, achieve more, and rigidly do what I felt I "should" do. My alarm was always set for 6 AM, and no matter how drained I felt, I’d force myself through a high-intensity workout. Slowing down wasn’t an option. I genuinely believed that rest was a sign of weakness, and productivity was the only true measure of my worth. My body felt like an enemy, a source of constant judgment, leading to deep disconnection and self-loathing.

Eventually, the pressure became too much, and burnout hit me hard. My mind was always racing, my nervous system was perpetually overstimulated, and I felt utterly disconnected from myself, from what truly mattered. That’s when yoga started to shift from something I did reluctantly to something I desperately needed. At first, it was just an hour of precious escape time to breathe, to pause, to simply feel. But over time, it became a powerful way of life. Yoga taught me that I didn't have to keep running, that I didn't have to believe that relentless inner voice telling me I wasn't enough. It finally gave me the space to just be.

My Journey to Self-Compassion & Presence

After practicing for over seven years, I finally took the plunge into yoga teacher training, focusing on Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin. My mission became crystal clear: to guide other women, especially overwhelmed mums, who feel stuck in the very same cycles of self-doubt and depletion I was in. I wanted to show them there’s another way to live - one where ambition and inner peace can beautifully coexist, rooted in radical self-compassion.

Then came the ultimate adventure - becoming a mum. Navigating new motherhood as an expat in a foreign country, often isolated while my partner traveled for work, brought a whole new level of chaos and challenge, including battling undiagnosed postnatal depression (PPD). I experienced the profound physical and emotional changes to the post-partum body, and for a while, I hit rock bottom. Through all of this, through every demanding phase and unexpected turn, yoga has been my unwavering anchor. It helped me regulate my overwhelmed nervous system and finally begin the journey of 'self-mothering.'

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to teach in the Philippines, a truly life-changing experience that deepened my appreciation for yoga’s profound ability to bring people together, no matter their background or circumstances. This journey has only reinforced my passion for sharing embodied Vinyasa and Yin yoga - helping people, especially busy mums, shift out of their racing minds and into their bodies, to rediscover the quiet beauty of simply being present in their own lives.

What I Believe & How I Help You

I believe that true calm and presence for overwhelmed mums doesn't come from doing less (which often isn't an option), but from doing things differently. It comes from a place of acceptance, not fighting the flow, and living with deep intention and profound nervous system awareness. This inherently includes a gentle, accepting approach to your unique body.

I help you shed the relentless inner critic, find peace amidst the digital demands, and cultivate a truly compassionate relationship with yourself and your body. You don't have to carry the burden of "Supermum" alone; I'm here to support you in finding genuine balance, reclaiming your energy, and reconnecting with the amazing woman you truly are.

No matter where you are in your journey as a mum and a woman, my goal is to support you in the best way possible. I'm here to help you reconnect with yourself, reclaim your energy, and find genuine balance amidst the beautiful, often overwhelming, noise of your life.
